The harvest in Antioquia and in the center of the country has been completed in the lowlands, in the highlands about 20% of the grains are left to be harvested, which should be done by the end of January;
In Huila the harvest is finished and production will resume from March;
In Tolima and Cauca they are harvesting the end of the flycrop and the main harverst should resume in March;
The prices in the Colombian internal market are still high with the NY correction this week, because there is a shortage of coffee and a big pressure to fulfill the current contracts;
The quality, mainly the moisture content, continues to be affected by the high price, the producers don’t show interest in producing better qualities because they are satisfied with the current price, however we follow a policy of better prices to incentive the production of special coffees.
